Sunspel Boxers

Did you know that Sunspel boxers were the first of their kind to be introduced to the UK in the 1940s? With typical attention to detail, designer John Hill re-engineered these new-fangled American-style shorts in 1947. He flattened the seams and incorporated a back panel to replace the central seam that some find uncomfortable, creating a revolution in men's underwear. The Nottingham brand has made boxers to these original specifications ever since. Crafted from the finest cotton, Sunspel's boxer shorts continue to be soft and cool to this day.

Our collection of Sunspel boxers exemplifies the label's skilled craftsmanship. These pairs are lightweight and breathable with smooth double-turned seams. They sit comfortably on the waist, have a roomy fit and include fly openings at the front. Relaxed-fit styles feature a supportive front pouch that makes for easy, button-free access. If you prefer more coverage, look out for one- and two-button styles. Expect colour options such as classic whites and Oxford blues intermingled with muted colours and prints.

With their modern shape and slim fit, Sunspel boxer briefs will tempt even the most committed devotee of traditional underwear. They're cut from soft and light cotton-jersey fabric, with elasticated hems to keep them fitted. If you favour tighter trousers, you'll appreciate the sleek silhouette these create under a variety of fabrics.
