"Duppy is the north Caribbean patois word signifying malovolent spirits, which are said to cause mischief and mayhem throughout the Caribbean islands. What several distilling nations call the ""angel's share"" (the percentage of alcohol which, when aged, evaporates each year and is thus said to have ""gone to the angels""), is called the ""Duppy's Share"" in several Caribbean countries, who are often said to act in return for food or drink. The Duppy is celebrated in this new, quirky rum, which offers lots of easy drinking fruit and vanilla character, ending with a lovely spicy finish."
