There are several different versions of where
Punt e Mes got its name from. The favourite being, "point and a half" in the dialect of Turin. This came from the day when an absent-minded stock exchange agent called out the trading floor term in Antonio Carpano's bar, asking for a
vermouth with a half-dose of bitters. It is a dry, red vermouth and is great in Negroni's and Americano's in place of other sweeter martinis.
