Born in 1880 only to lose her sight and hearing in infancy,
Helen Keller went on to be the first deaf-blind person to get a university degree, later becoming a trailblazing disability and women's rights activist, educator and humanitarian. She is the latest historical figure celebrated in
Barbie's "Inspiring Women" series of role models for younger children. Dressed in historically accurate Edwardian garb, she comes with a little book of Braille.
