A treasure from Austria, Markus Huber’s Grüner Veltliner is a bottling of an increasingly popular grape – and a favourite of the country. Highly quaffable, it’s mouth-watering in its acidity, and a deep inhale has reveals aromas of yellow fruits, citrus and aromatic herbs – and there’s an inescapable spice of white pepper. For this, we’re saying white fish is the ideal pairing, with a simple, lemon-based sauce and a scattering of fresh herbs.
