The vineyards are in the Estância Fortaleza do Seival, in Candiota, south of Brazil near the Uruguay border. Here they mainly grow Portugese varieties which work well in the warm climate. This is a classic Douro blend and is full of raisins, figs, strawberries, chocolate, prunes and fruit preserves – a great wine for food paring especially with a good steak.
