In 1933, Jeanne Toussaint became Cartier's successor, but did you know she also went by a pseudonym? The Panther. Named after Toussaint’s alter ego, the Panthère de Cartier pendant necklace is cast in 18-carat yellow gold and adorned with a feline head at the centre. Set with shining onyx to mimic the prowling cat's coat, it’s encrusted with 36 brilliant-cut diamonds before signing off with striking eyes (in the form of two tsavorite garnets, nonetheless).
