Growing on sandstone, shale and clay soils in South Africa’s Cape South Coast region, the Pinot Noir grapes blended to create this JH Meyer wine were sustainably farmed and handpicked in the early morning. Aged for 11 months on gross lees in old French oak foudre before it’s bottled without fining or filtration, the result is a slightly spiced vegan and vegetarian wine that swirls with sweet cherry and pomegranate notes, mellowed by tart cranberry.
