Anagram cut-out leather bag strap

If you've ever wondered how the Anagram motif on Loewe's leather cut-out bag strap came to be, let us fill you in. Designed with four cursive Ls, the emblem was first dreamt up in the early 70s by Spanish painter Vicente Vela. Where did the artist get his inspiration? From the folded metal of branding irons used to mark leather – which is apt, given that the brand excels with leather craftsmanship. The symbol has been a mainstay of the brand ever since.
