Château du Moulin-à-Vent is the name behind this 2018 red, a leading Beaujolais estate in its eponymous appellation. Its story sees the regions’ gamay grapes harvested by hand in small boxes to protect their delicate skins, resulting in an elegant, well-balanced vintage. The ageing process is the secret to this one: 12 months are spent in oak barrels – sourced from the Allier and Vosges forests – before it’s transferred for another 6 months in stainless steel.
