"When Jeanne Toussaint became Cartier’s Director of Fine Jewellery in 1933, she quickly fell in love with panther-inspired designs, even earning the nickname ""La Panthére"" for her powerful yet dignified personality. Recreated for the jewellery brand’s latest collection, the feline seen on this 18-carat yellow-gold necklace is adorned with piercing garnet eyes, whilst the head is coated in black lacquer spots to mimic the big cat’s natural coating."
