Alexander McQueen’s eponymous label was founded on the basis of dichotomies – English and Scottish, frothy and tailored, for example – and so for Pre-Fall ’21, Sarah Burton explored this notion with a line-up of hybridized garments. First up, these trousers. Spun from pure wool, they’re deftly cut to a razor-sharp tapered silhouette, but look to the ankles, and you’ll see they’re cuffed like your favourite jogging bottoms.
