Carhartt WIP has been in the streetwear business since before there was a streetwear (well, people always wore stuff on the streets but you know what we mean). It’s a long way from 1889 and making clothing for railway workers, but some things remain the same. Namely, the sturdy-as-all-get-out materials that go into its cargo trousers. Like the Aviation pair, which has equal parts vibe and practicality sewn into its mid-rise straight-leg fit.

• Slim fit, mid-rise, straight leg, belt loops, buckled waist adjusters at sides, two slip pockets at front, buttoned flap-pocket at legs, pleated at knees, two buttoned pockets and brand patch at back, all-over panelling, drawstring hems


• Machine wash cold


• Size UK 30: rise 16in / 41cm, inside leg 32in / 82cm, leg openings 14in / 36cm


• Model is 6ft 2in/1.88m and wears a size UK 32
