The much-anticipated third instalment in the Wine Geese series, the Green Spot Quails' Gate whiskey by Ireland’s oldest spirits merchant, Mitchell & Son, is a homage to the label’s passion for wine. Following an initial maturation in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, it’s finished for 16 months in Pinot Noir casks from Quail's Gate vineyard. The result is a rich, complex tipple flowing with notes of ripe cherry, red apple and crisp barley, with a slow toasted wood finish.
