The Peak District isn’t the first place that comes to mind when you think about where whisky is made: but that’s all about to change thanks to the work of White Peak. Derbyshire’s first whisky distillery (located at a heritage site, no less), it sources its water from its local woodland and river, uses hand-built copper stills and sources its casks from family-owned businesses. The Wire Works whisky is a single malt with notes of caramel, roasted fruit and gentle coffee.
