Launched seventeen years ago, in the early new millennium, adidas Y3 collection gives us a glimpse into the future of footwear. The label’s Super Takusan trainers are modelled on adidas’ Stan Smith style but crafted from a canvas upper that is accented by textured rubber patches at the sides for a deconstructed look. True to the shoe’s heritage, they keep the reinforced toe cap but forgoe any branding apart from the Yohji Yamamoto wordmark on the heel counter.
