Brothers Behnam and Bahram Heydaripour grew up picking pistachios on a family friend’s farm in Iran – an experience which left them with lots of love for the little green nut. So when they launched Borna in 2014, their offerings revolved around it: this crunchy pistachio butter, for example, is one of the first things the brand brought to the table. It’s made solely from premium pistachios (no added salt, sugar or oil here) that have been lightly roasted and stone milled to preserve their taste and nutritional value.
