Danish homeware label HAY collaborates with Naoto Fukasawa to create the Pao lamp. Inspired by a trip to Mongolia, the Japanese designer found himself struck by the glowing silhouettes of the traditional indigenous tents that illuminated the night. The shape of this lampshade recreates that striking landscape with its sloping edges and high-gloss finish. Dispersing the light just like how Fukasawa saw it in those nomadic homes, it creates a warm and inviting ambience.
