Once only available at the label’s invitation, The Essence by La Mer is a 21-day treatment making waves among beauty buffs, leaving skin soothed, luminous and moisturised with reduced lines and pores – and it’s all down to the “Miracle Broth” within each bottle. We can’t give away all its secrets, but it involves a rare sea kelp that’s only harvested twice a year (according to the moon’s cycles) and a complex fermentation process involving light and sound waves.
