A third-generation producer of Mezcal, Maestro Francisco Ortiz, takes inspiration from an indigenous Mexican artform for its latest creation. Ojo de Dios, or God’s eye, is the celebrated art of beadwork – a method that’s intricately done by hand to create traditional patterns over a layer of beeswax. Now to the tequila: distilled in copper still pots, it’s blended with the finest Mexican arabica coffee grown by the Bautista family at the summit of the Oaxacan mountains.
