    Every morning as a child, Coco Chanel walked across her corridor of polished pebbles and five-pointed stars. This daily stroll led to a lifelong intrigue of space and comets, which ultimately unveiled itself as the theme of her first jewellery collection, Bijoux de Diamants. The concept was explored throughout her later collections and led to astrology-inspired pieces like this cuff discovered by Susan Caplan. Look closely at its gold-plated construction, and you'll see miniature stars embossed throughout its tiers.
