It’s not only because the Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau is bottled in celebration of its vintage year only a few weeks after harvesting that is cause for celebration. There are a couple more reasons to add to the list, but we’ll start with its label; it’s cloaked in a painting titled “Russet Vines” by vineyard’s label competition winner Maeve Croghan. Next, the Gamay grapes that undergo carbonic maceration after harvesting to create a fruity, light-bodied wine.
