A whimsical aesthetic has always remained at the heart of Self-Portrait's designs, even when the eveningwear aficionado ventures into more tailored silhouettes. Take this bouclé jacket, for example; it's woven to a boxy fit and topped by padded shoulders, synonymous with formalwear. But cut to a more playful cropped silhouette; it's doused in sequins designed to send shards of light dancing as you cross the ballroom floor. Trimmed by plaited embroidery, it's signed off with an embellished button fastening at the front.
