The Solaia wine from Antinori dates back to 1978, when the expression was first produced on the family estate. In the following years, the formula of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, and Sangiovese was worked on and tweaked, then left to age before touching the lips of wine aficionados across the globe. This 2018 edition used grapes grown during a steady climate season in Chianti Classico before aging in French oak barrels for 18 months. The result? A sweet and fragrant blend that provides the perfect pairing to dishes of red meat and poultry.
