How did the
Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste get its name? It’s a fusion of “Grand-Puy”, the name of the gravelly hill on which it sits, and “Lacoste”, the name of the family which owned it for two centuries. Overlooking the village of Bages in the Pauillac region, the winery grows the cabernet franc grapes used to make this 2015 vintage. Imbued with fresh notes of black fruit, spice, and floral violets, it's a full-bodied red with a smoky aroma that complements venison and beef.
