Where did Ray-Ban’s name originate? It all started with the first pair of sunglasses the label produced for pilots that banned the sun’s rays from passing through the lenses and affecting their sight – put two and two together and the title was born. Continuing this reputation, the Erika is are crafted from lightweight acetate and metal shaped to round frames and etched with the Italian label’s moniker over one side of the tinted lenses.
