GR III HDF Digital Camera

The Ricoh GR III HDF is a premium compact camera featuring a large APS-C-size CMOS 24.24 megapixel image sensor for high-quality, high-resolution images. Also featured is a GR 18.3mm f/2.8 Lens, super-fast Hybrid AF, Shake Reduction (SR) mechanism and touch-screen operation for intuitive control. The compact & stylish body of the GR III is made of highly rigid magnesium alloy to improve durability. The Ricoh GR III HDF features a newly developed, built-in HDF (Highlight Diffusion Filter), which is designed to deliver mellow, softened images with diffused highlight areas. This filter allows the user to add a different kind of visual expression to captured images, depending on the subject or creative intention.

Built-in HDF (Highlight Diffusion Filter
The GR II HDF features a newly developed HDF (Highlight Diffusion Filter) to enhance highlights, creating soft, mellow images. This special-effect filter diffuses highlights and blurs edges for a film-like or cinematic look. Easily toggle between clear, sharp images and softened ones with the HDF switch.

High-resolution images
The GR III boasts a large APS-C CMOS sensor without an anti-aliasing filter, coupled with the new GR ENGINE 6. With around 24.24 effective megapixels, it delivers high-resolution images with rich gradations. It supports 14-bit RAW recording and reaches ISO 102400 for ultra-high sensitivity.

Hybrid AF system for high-speed autofocus
The GR III utilizes a hybrid AF system merging contrast-based AF for precision and phase-detection AF for speed. This combination ensures swift and accurate autofocus performance

Minimized version
GR III employs an original SR (Shake Reduction) mechanism, providing three-axis stabilization with four-step compensation. This effectively minimizes camera shake during shutter release, mitigating pitch, yaw, and roll movements.

High-definition LCD monitor with intuitive touch-screen operation
The GR III boasts a 3.0-inch high-definition LCD monitor with touch-screen functionality, a first for the GR series. With approximately 1,037,000 dots, it facilitates intuitive control of various functions like AF frameshift and menu navigation. The air-gapless construction minimizes light reflection and dispersion for enhanced outdoor visibility. Additionally, the Outdoor View Setting enables instant brightness adjustment for better visibility in challenging lighting conditions.

Bluetooth and wireless LAN dual communication
The GR III offers dual communication with Bluetooth and wireless LAN, allowing easy pairing with mobile devices. With the Image Sync app, users can view Live-View images, release the shutter, and upload photos to social media. Bluetooth enables quick activation and connection to the app, even from Sleep Mode, and allows for location data recording on captured images
