Guess the inspiration behind tequila brand Storywood? If you said wood with stories, you’d be right. The label creates its unique barrel-aged tequilas by aging them not in bourbon casks, but in various oaken vessels. Its Speyside 7 is a rebellious tipple that rests for over seven months in Scotch Speyside whisky barrels to create an earthy-sweet lowland agave base that blossoms into subtle oaky caramel flavours and a tinge of honeyed vanilla. Whoever said tequila wasn’t for sipping?
