If you’re a fan of a sherried single malt, then Tamdhu is a distillery to try. This 15-year-old whisky is a good example, as it spent its maturation in oloroso sherry casks up in Speyside, Scotland. We’re getting generous helpings of dark fruit and Christmas spice on throughout, but it all kicks off with charred pineapple and earthy barley on the nose (what a combo). That builds to dried fruit with orange oil and vanilla on the palate – three sweet cheers to that.
