When it comes to wine, the soil that the vines grow in plays a key role in the taste of the final cuvée. For Coto De Gomariz, the Treixadura grapes (that are predominant in the blend) are grown in granitic and sandy soils on the Galician slopes, giving it a deep minerality. Dry and acidic at first, it opens up with stone fruits and zesty lime on the nose. Those notes are followed by a silky mouthfeel, with a lightly spiced kick of ginger – flavours best teamed with seafood.
