    When designing their collection for Alessi, Michel Boucquillon and Donia Maaoui were inspired by the landscape of the Tuscan town they call home. The result? Pieces that portray a harmonious, poetic dialogue between nature and practicality. Take this Barknest basket – its rounded shape conjures a birdsnest and keeps its contents safe, while the intricate openwork is evocative of tree bark and helps keep fruit fresh.
