For almost 50 years, artisan shoemaker
Manolo Blahnik has been sketching his iconic shoes. But one style in particular – the
Hangisi courts – has gained cult status, and it’s for good reason: sitting on a perfectly engineered stiletto heel, the upper is crafted from lustrous satin and topped with a handmade, bejewelled buckle – it was originally inspired by Napoleon I, Josephine and Pauline Bonaparte, no less.
