The secret to the distinctive aroma and flavour of this 15-year-old Scotch whisky by Macallan lies in the maturation process that takes place in both European and American oak casks. Sherry seasoned, the liquor is sweet and rounded. On the nose, toffee, smooth vanilla and dried fruits with hints of sweet honey and chocolate play, while the palate balances woody spices with citrus and sweet sultanas finishing on a kick of ginger that turns to creamy caramel.
