Raf Simons’ SS23 collection bypasses the Y2K trend that’s preoccupying much of the fashion world looking further back in time to the 80s for inspiration. A central theme that the renowned Belgian designer imbues into his creations is the grungy spirit of the punk movement, still ongoing during that decade. These jeans are a prime example of that aesthetic; cut to a tapered silhouette from distressed denim, they feature cut-out panels and brand-engraved silver-tone buttons.
