The independently-run Lochlea does things a little differently. The whisky that leaves this Scottish distillery is meant for drinking, pure and simple: not banished to a collector’s cabinet to gather dust. A carefully honed single malt Scotch, Our Barley launched in July 2022 as the distillery’s first ongoing core whisky. It’s made using malted barley grown on its very own land – on soil which was also tended by Robert Burns during his stay at Lochlea Farm.
