Original Beans approaches the making of its chocolate with green lenses: for every bar sold, a tree is planted – and you can even track the sapling’s growth by using a code on packaging. This Esmerelda’s 42% bar is the result of Ecuador’s rare Arriba cacao swirled with organic milk, and supports the local growers to preserve their trees and frogs. A favourite of chefs, it partners notes of caramel and hazelnut with a sprinkle of Fleur de Sal.
