In 1291, all of the glassmakers of Venice were moved to the island of Murano, about a mile north. Because furnaces can be, you know, pretty dangerous. And, literally, since then Murano has been one of the centre's of glassmaking excellence. Keeping up that fine tradition is Nason Moretti, whose vibrant, quietly elegant
Idra Murano tumbler is a handsome little tribute to the island where it works. From
The Conran Shop.
