Situated on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, you’ll find the Medoc region, home to Chateau Kirwan and the vines the Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grapes grow on. After harvesting, they’re fermented with exogenous yeasts in small, stainless-steel vats, after which, the wine is ages in French oak barrels for 18 to 22 months. Vibrant and full-bodied, the result is deep red in colour and marries dark berry aromas with notes of oak and tobacco.
