If you’re looking to expand your horizons where wine tasting is concerned, allow us to offer this chardonnay, by Slovenian winery Edi Simčič. It’s made from purely chardonnay grapes grown in 25 to 35-year-old vineyards with mineral-rich, salty soil that reflects in this expression. After aging for 10 months in barrels, it reveals aromas of honeydew melon, tropical fruits and hazelnuts on the nose, leading to a full-bodied palate with a kick of spice. Enjoy it with fish and hard cheese.
