Yes, Alessi is first and foremost a homeware brand, but what the Italian label teaches you is that functional pieces shouldn’t have to lose out on form. Take the Mediteranneo collection, and this fruit bowl. It’s not the typical dish for your daily dose of vitamin C to sit in (we’d recommend pineapple and mango), as it’s shaped like a plant, with the branches growing up and outwards in stainless steel. You’ll definitely want to display it on a countertop.
