The Sassicaia estate at Bolgheri has been in the family of Mario Incisa della Rocchetta’s wife since the 1800s – and with that time comes the experience to develop this Sassicaia wine. The first vintage was released in 1968, and it has since become widely accepted as one of the world’s greatest Cabernet Sauvignons. This 2008 expression is imbued with black cherries, plums, grilled herb, minerals and smoke.
