Without the opportunity to travel for her usual research trips, Sarah Burton turned her focus to London and its deserted streets and discovered in them a stripped-back beauty. Inspired by them for her SS21 collection for Alexander McQueen, the designer forgoes fussy details in favour of clean lines and minimalism to create these shorts. Stitched together from soft cotton twill shaped to a regular fit, their high-rise silhouette is outlined by stitching that starkly contrasts with the soft yarn.
