The history of Gaggia begins with one man (Achille Gaggia) and a single mission: to perfect the humble espresso. Patented in 1938, his coffee extraction method produced a cup that was topped with a characteristic cream texture, or “crema naturale”, that the brand’s Cadorna Plus coffee machine still recreates today.
