Heard of Swartland? Located in a coastal area 65km north of Cape Town, this region is currently producing some of South Africa’s most unique wines. One producer to watch is Testalonga. Set up by Craig and Carla Hawkins in 2008, it aims to make wines solely from grapes (i.e. it farms organically and biodynamically) and produces tipples like the Follow Your Dreams carignan – a fresh, dry red wine with notes of crushed berries, sour cherries and violets.
