All eyes were on Paris’s Pont Neuf last June for Pharrell Williams’s debut Louis Vuitton menswear collection. The historic landmark acted as the backdrop to the most streamed fashion show in history. On the night, the worlds of entertainment and fashion collided, with performances by Jay-Z, Voices of Fire and Pharrell himself. Now, to celebrate the launch, the creative polymath has recreated the experience at The Corner Shop in Selfridges London.

Pharrell Williams’s debut for Louis Vuitton is a love letter to the brand. “For me, LV means LVERS. If you appreciate Louis Vuitton, you’re a lover of the curation,” he said following the show. “The humans who buy and wear Louis Vuitton have five modes: dandy, which is tailoring for business and events; comfort, which is what you wear at home and to the gas station; resort, for when you’re on the beach; sport, for activity and working out; and finally, the core staples of the House.”

Paris was Pharrell’s backdrop, but the sun was his starting point for the collection. “When the sun shined on me for an opportunity like this, it changed my life across the board,” he mused. “I’m going to use it to do two things: share all my learnings as a perpetual student, and two, share my love and appreciation. I’m choosing to shine a light back on this city, these people, all my friends here, who have kept me lifted at this time.” On your way to The Corner Shop, you’ll see sunrays lighting up the collection in our Selfridges London windows, alongside a question posed by Pharrell: “What will you do if the sun shines on you?”
In The Corner Shop, you can browse a curated edit of the SS24 fashion and accessories, designed with Williams’s pixelated ‘Damoflage’ take on the Maison’s 1888 Damier chessboard print, alongside tailoring, leather jackets and retro sportswear. The collection is available to shop at Selfridges London by appointment only.

STEP INTO A PARISIAN LANDSCAPE
At the experiential space in The Corner Shop, you can walk beneath the Pont Neuf to see the collection up close (Pharrell reimagined the bridge with cubes that mimic the brand’s Damier print). We’ll also be screening the SS24 runway show, as music by Voices of Fire echoes through the arches. Please note: this event has now ended.
