Featuring Nikon’s most advanced autofocus system to date, redesigned S-Line optics, enhanced image stabilisation, improved ergonomics, and a significantly lighter construction, this professional f/2.8 medium-telephoto zoom lens empowers photographers and videographers to perform at their best in more shooting scenarios than ever before.

Weighing just 998g, the NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S II sets a new benchmark for balance and portability. It is 362g lighter and 12mm shorter than its predecessor, making it more comfortable for extended handheld use. Video creators using a Z series camera on a gimbal will particularly benefit from the internal zoom design, which maintains a consistent centre of gravity throughout the zoom range for smoother operation.

The lens delivers up to 6 stops of in-lens Vibration Reduction, working alongside the fast f/2.8 aperture to ensure outstanding results in challenging light. When paired with compatible Z cameras, Synchro VR enhances stabilisation performance across both the centre and edges of the frame for maximum image clarity.

Autofocus performance sees a major advancement thanks to Nikon’s Silky Swift Voice Coil Motors (SSVCM). AF speed is up to 3.5x faster than the previous generation and operates 50% more quietly. Focus tracking is more accurate while zooming, scan time at the telephoto end is reduced, and overall responsiveness is significantly improved.
