There’s something different about this eight-year-old Island single malt scotch whisky by Talisker. You see, for the first time, the distillery aged it in ex-pot still Caribbean rum casks. Marrying subtle smokiness with fruitiness and a hint of pepper, the result is balanced and rounded. Starting with butterscotch, candied orange and zesty lemon on the nose, it transitions through notes of baked apples and sprinkling of salt before a long warming finish smouldering with chilli notes.
