Playing with textures, tones and silhouettes has become something of a hallmark for Australian design duo Melvin Tanaya and Lina Ty, the minds behind
Song for the Mute, whose otherworldly designs haunt the catwalk and the city street with eccentric swagger. This jacket echoes the formalities of a denim trucker, with flap pockets and classic collar, but its softly spun linen and all-over paint-spatter pattern has us doing a double-take, for all the right reasons.
