Tossing minimalism aside, Japanese designer Junya Watanabe is embracing the radical for SS24 (well, he was trained by Rei Kawakubo, after all) and goes all-out with pieces like this jacket. Crafted from faux-leather that’s so buttery-soft it could be mistaken for the real thing, this long-sleeved cover-up offers an avant-garde imagining of the biker archetype. Shaped to a classic V-neck silhouette, it’s wrapped in panel upon panel of belt-like straps, each one overlapping with the last for an eclectic aesthetic.
