What make’s Brugal’s 1888 Doblemente Añejado rum so exceptional? The double-ageing process in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels and sherry casks? Perhaps it’s that the spirit was conjured with the knowledge, expertise and skill of five generations of maestros? Or maybe that it was made entirely in the Dominican Republic. We think it’s all three of those reasons. The deep amber nectar is well-rounded and smooth, boasting a complex flavour profile of vanilla, red fruits and toffee with cocoa and natural oak spice.
